Good way to find out who else in your area or state is thinking about attending the event is to get those caravan threads started. Its never too early to start planning even if you don’t have the specific route and time yet. Really good idea too for sponsors that have shops in the cities that caravans pass thru.

LX and Beyond News: Wednesday, 2/24/10

We are pleased to announce that the LX & BEYOND NATIONALS has joined the East Coast Modern Street Hemi Shootout Series for the 2010 Racing Season. The point series has been organized by Bill Schurr, Dan Van Horn and Lou Montgomery. Thank you again to the 3 of them for taking the initiative and organizing the points series.

We think this is a great idea and honored to have the invitation extended to us to be a part of it. This means all GEN III 5.7 and/or 6.1 based HEMI vehicles will be eligible to compete in the heads-up points series which began in Bradenton, FL earlier this month and will conclude at Atco Raceway in November. We look forward to seeing ALL competitors from across the country that want to have a weekend of fun lining up head-to-head with some of the leading GEN III HEMI vehicles in the country. Even if you are not racing, come out to support and cheer on your favorite forum member, modern Mopar or performance shop. Keep an eye out for updates on rules and regulations for the points series.

In addition, anybody that does not want to race heads-up and enjoys bracket racing competition you will not be left out of the action. The LX & Beyond Nationals will continue to host the heads-up racing for you. We know there are some folks out there looking forward to defending their 2009 titles and we are looking forward to seeing you as well.

Last but not least, the carshow competition will also return for the 2010 season and details will be coming soon on the classes available for those of you interested in competing for awards and prizes. Without a doubt, this is gonna be a busy and fun-filled weekend for all of you able to attend!

If your forum, club, group, company, state, region or country is organizing a caravan to the 2010 LX & Beyond Nationals just like the “Ontario Canada Group” is doing please let me know via PM or email and I will be certain to add it to all of the main threads across the forums to help spread the word and hopefully add some more numbers to your caravan.

Half the fun of attending enthusiast events like the LX NATS is the journey to get here. Its guaranteed to provide some fun stories and strengthen the friendships with folks you already know and maybe even some new people you don’t know.

Contest: Enter to win the Oracle HID Kit from AAC

LX & Beyond Nationals Attendees enter your name on LXForums or ChargerForums to win a FREE Oracle HID Kit from Advanced Automotive Concepts and have it installed LIVE at the 2009 LX & Beyond Nationals!!!

One entry per person, you must attend to win.

You must be present at the LX & Beyond Nationals on July 18th to be eligible and agree to have them installed on Saturday, July 18th at the LX & Beyond Nationals. These will be installed at the Advanced Automotive Concepts booth while providing a demo for attendees on how to install the HID Kit from AAC. Be sure to stop by with your questions and see the demo.

AAC will be video taping the installation so you must agree to them using images of your vehicle for a demo video and pictures. Other requirements are that you have OEM non-HID lights that have the factory bulbs installed. N/A vehicles preferred because they want the ballast mounting locations to match most customers vehicles.

The winner will be posted right after the drawing.

A&W Rootbeer Restaurant in Boardman, OH will have an Official Pre-Event Weekend Cruise setup for us at 8pm on Friday, July 17, 2009 to help kick-off the 2009 LX & Beyond Nationals weekend. There should be close to 300 cars there including ours, maybe more.
